Intro-Hockey/Intro to Mites
The Little Avs program is the next step from the Mini Avs and is a great way to get young players ready to play hockey! The Little Avs focuses on improving the players skating ability. The stride, stopping and turning will be a continued focus as skating backwards and doing crossovers is introduced! The program will also teach the basics of puck control and passing. Learning these basic hockey skills will prepare the players for organized team play.
The players will be split into 4 teams, the Saturday session will be a practice while Sunday’s session will consist of games. Casey Kesselring, current Pinkerton Academy Head Coach, will direct the program and oversee all aspects!

This season we are asking all parents to register their Mini and Little Avalanche players with USA HOCKEY for the 2008-2009 Season using the USA HOCKEY online registration process. Go to this webpage http://www.usahockeyregistration.com/ to begin the registration process: The NH Avalanche Registrar Kim Burgess will need to verify each registration before players and coaches are allowed to participate in any Ice Den Arena on ice practices and games.
